त्रिक॑द्रुकेषु महि॒षो यवा॑शिरं तुवि॒शुष्म॑स्तृ॒पत्सोम॑मपिब॒द्विष्णु॑ना सु॒तं यथाव॑शत् । स ईं॑ ममाद॒ महि॒ कर्म॒ कर्त॑वे म॒हामु॒रुं सैनं॑ सश्चद्दे॒वो दे॒वं स॒त्यमिन्द्रं॑ स॒त्य इन्दुः॑
trikadrukeṣu mahiṣo yavāśiraṃ tuviśuṣmastṛpatsomamapibadviṣṇunā sutaṃ yathāvaśat sa īṃ mamāda mahi karma kartave mahāmuruṃ sainaṃ saścaddevo devaṃ satyamindraṃ satya induḥ
In threefold furrows the steers yoked, young barley’s sprout, the tawny Soma they drank as Vishnu pressed it forth as ordained. He gave me mighty deed to perform: a great host, with gods, to the truthful Indra—so spake the true singer Indu.

अध॒ त्विषी॑माँ अ॒भ्योज॑सा॒ क्रिविं॑ यु॒धाभ॑व॒दा रोद॑सी अपृणदस्य म॒ज्मना॒ प्र वा॑वृधे । अध॑त्ता॒न्यं ज॒ठरे॒ प्रेम॑रिच्यत॒ सैनं॑ सश्चद्दे॒वो दे॒वं स॒त्यमिन्द्रं॑ स॒त्य इन्दुः॑
adha tviṣīmām̐ abhyojasā kriviṃ yudhābhavadā rodasī apṛṇadasya majmanā pra vāvṛdhe adhattānyaṃ jaṭhare premaricyata sainaṃ saścaddevo devaṃ satyamindraṃ satya induḥ
He met the tireless steed in battle, the spear-form came forth in the fray; the host advanced. He set another in the belly of the foe, the beloved army increased. He gave the marching band—gods accompanied—to the true Indra, the true Indu declared.

सा॒कं जा॒तः क्रतु॑ना सा॒कमोज॑सा ववक्षिथ सा॒कं वृ॒द्धो वी॒र्यैः॑ सास॒हिर्मृधो॒ विच॑र्षणिः । दाता॒ राधः॑ स्तुव॒ते काम्यं॒ वसु॒ सैनं॑ सश्चद्दे॒वो दे॒वं स॒त्यमिन्द्रं॑ स॒त्य इन्दुः॑
sākaṃ jātaḥ kratunā sākamojasā vavakṣitha sākaṃ vṛddho vīryaiḥ sāsahirmṛdho vicarṣaṇiḥ dātā rādhaḥ stuvate kāmyaṃ vasu sainaṃ saścaddevo devaṃ satyamindraṃ satya induḥ
Born together by sacrifice, together by vigour, I declared together—old in heroic might, companion in battle, gentle in counsel and eager in striving. Bountiful giver, glorious, he praised the desired wealth; gods accompanied the host, and Indu sang truth.

तव॒ त्यन्नर्यं॑ नृ॒तोऽप॑ इन्द्र प्रथ॒मं पू॒र्व्यं दि॒वि प्र॒वाच्यं॑ कृ॒तम् । यद्दे॒वस्य॒ शव॑सा॒ प्रारि॑णा॒ असुं॑ रि॒णन्न॒पः । भुव॒द्विश्व॑म॒भ्यादे॑व॒मोज॑सा वि॒दादूर्जं॑ श॒तक्र॑तुर्वि॒दादिष॑म्
tava tyannaryaṃ nṛto'pa indra prathamaṃ pūrvyaṃ divi pravācyaṃ kṛtam yaddevasya śavasā prāriṇā asuṃ riṇannapaḥ bhuvadviśvamabhyādevamojasā vidādūrjaṃ śatakraturvidādiṣam
You first discoursed in heaven the food for men and cattle, O Indra, that which was to be offered. For the god’s feast with carcasses began, the waters repaid their debt. The earth and the wide world gave wealth by might; Vigour declared the hundred-rited hymn.
