नि व॑र्तध्वं॒ मानु॑ गाता॒स्मान्सि॑षक्त रेवतीः । अग्नी॑षोमा पुनर्वसू अ॒स्मे धा॑रयतं र॒यिम्
ni vartadhvaṃ mānu gātāsmānsiṣakta revatīḥ agnīṣomā punarvasū asme dhārayataṃ rayim
Return, O men, from us like the calf tethered to Revati. Agni and Soma, bestowers of riches, hold for us the wealth.

पुन॑रेना॒ नि व॑र्तय॒ पुन॑रेना॒ न्या कु॑रु । इन्द्र॑ एणा॒ नि य॑च्छत्व॒ग्निरे॑ना उ॒पाज॑तु
punarenā ni vartaya punarenā nyā kuru indra eṇā ni yacchatvagnirenā upājatu
Again with this drive turn back; again with this do not fail. Indra, grant by this channel what the fire by this one may summon forth.

पुन॑रे॒ता नि व॑र्तन्ताम॒स्मिन्पु॑ष्यन्तु॒ गोप॑तौ । इ॒हैवाग्ने॒ नि धा॑रये॒ह ति॑ष्ठतु॒ या र॒यिः
punaretā ni vartantāmasminpuṣyantu gopatau ihaivāgne ni dhārayeha tiṣṭhatu yā rayiḥ
May those sent back return; may they flourish in this cattle-ward. O Agni, here establish them, here let that wealth stand which is right.

यन्नि॒यानं॒ न्यय॑नं सं॒ज्ञानं॒ यत्प॒राय॑णम् । आ॒वर्त॑नं नि॒वर्त॑नं॒ यो गो॒पा अपि॒ तं हु॑वे
yanniyānaṃ nyayanaṃ saṃjñānaṃ yatparāyaṇam āvartanaṃ nivartanaṃ yo gopā api taṃ huve
What conduct led, what guided, what signified the devoted act; the turning back and the returning — the herdsman too invoked that with the oblation.

य उ॒दान॒ड्व्यय॑नं॒ य उ॒दान॑ट् प॒राय॑णम् । आ॒वर्त॑नं नि॒वर्त॑न॒मपि॑ गो॒पा नि व॑र्तताम्
ya udānaḍvyayanaṃ ya udānaṭ parāyaṇam āvartanaṃ nivartanamapi gopā ni vartatām
He who is the loud-sounding call, he who is the trumpet devoted; the turning back and the returning — O herdsman, let them return.

आ नि॑वर्त॒ नि व॑र्तय॒ पुन॑र्न इन्द्र॒ गा दे॑हि । जी॒वाभि॑र्भुनजामहै
ā nivarta ni vartaya punarna indra gā dehi jīvābhirbhunajāmahai
Turn aside, turn back; again, Indra, give the song. We have tasted life from the living ones.

परि॑ वो वि॒श्वतो॑ दध ऊ॒र्जा घृ॒तेन॒ पय॑सा । ये दे॒वाः के च॑ य॒ज्ञिया॒स्ते र॒य्या सं सृ॑जन्तु नः
pari vo viśvato dadha ūrjā ghṛtena payasā ye devāḥ ke ca yajñiyāste rayyā saṃ sṛjantu naḥ
Surround us everywhere with vigour, with clarified butter and milk. May those gods who are our priests and ritualists create for us wealth.

आ नि॑वर्तन वर्तय॒ नि नि॑वर्तन वर्तय । भूम्या॒श्चत॑स्रः प्र॒दिश॒स्ताभ्य॑ एना॒ नि व॑र्तय
ā nivartana vartaya ni nivartana vartaya bhūmyāścatasraḥ pradiśastābhya enā ni vartaya
Drive away, turn away; drive away, turn away. From the earth’s four quarters these (enemies) have come—drive them off.
