ई॒जा॒नमिद्द्यौर्गू॒र्ताव॑सुरीजा॒नं भूमि॑र॒भि प्र॑भू॒षणि॑ । ई॒जा॒नं दे॒वाव॒श्विना॑व॒भि सु॒म्नैर॑वर्धताम्
ījānamiddyaurgūrtāvasurījānaṃ bhūmirabhi prabhūṣaṇi ījānaṃ devāvaśvināvabhi sumnairavardhatām
May the quick one of heaven, swift-footed, be born; may the quick one of earth be created, endowed with splendour. May the swift-born of the gods and of the Ashvins prosper with ample wealth.

ता वां॑ मित्रावरुणा धार॒यत्क्षि॑ती सुषु॒म्नेषि॑त॒त्वता॑ यजामसि । यु॒वोः क्रा॒णाय॑ स॒ख्यैर॒भि ष्या॑म र॒क्षसः॑
tā vāṃ mitrāvaruṇā dhārayatkṣitī suṣumneṣitatvatā yajāmasi yuvoḥ krāṇāya sakhyairabhi ṣyāma rakṣasaḥ
May Mitra and Varuṇa support you, hold you like the earth within the central channel; with friendly bonds we worship you for the benefit of both, to ward off foes.

अधा॑ चि॒न्नु यद्दिधि॑षामहे वाम॒भि प्रि॒यं रेक्णः॒ पत्य॑मानाः । द॒द्वाँ वा॒ यत्पुष्य॑ति॒ रेक्णः॒ सम्वा॑र॒न्नकि॑रस्य म॒घानि॑
adhā cinnu yaddidhiṣāmahe vāmabhi priyaṃ rekṇaḥ patyamānāḥ dadvām̐ vā yatpuṣyati rekṇaḥ samvārannakirasya maghāni
Grant what we desire below, bearing graciously the beloved load; give what nourishes, grant abundant gifts, O radiant one, with hero-like strength.

अ॒साव॒न्यो अ॑सुर सूयत॒ द्यौस्त्वं विश्वे॑षां वरुणासि॒ राजा॑ । मू॒र्धा रथ॑स्य चाक॒न्नैताव॒तैन॑सान्तक॒ध्रुक्
asāvanyo asura sūyata dyaustvaṃ viśveṣāṃ varuṇāsi rājā mūrdhā rathasya cākannaitāvatainasāntakadhruk
You, lord of all, are another divine being who shines in heaven; the peak is like the chariot’s front — such are those who end foes with swift shafts.

अ॒स्मिन्स्वे॒३॒॑तच्छक॑पूत॒ एनो॑ हि॒ते मि॒त्रे निग॑तान्हन्ति वी॒रान् । अ॒वोर्वा॒ यद्धात्त॒नूष्ववः॑ प्रि॒यासु॑ य॒ज्ञिया॒स्वर्वा॑
asminsve3tacchakapūta eno hite mitre nigatānhanti vīrān avorvā yaddhāttanūṣvavaḥ priyāsu yajñiyāsvarvā
In our own white-armed clan these hostile ones, fallen to Mitra’s hate, slay the heroes; give us strength in our bodies, O you dear to the sacrificers.

यु॒वोर्हि मा॒तादि॑तिर्विचेतसा॒ द्यौर्न भूमिः॒ पय॑सा पुपू॒तनि॑ । अव॑ प्रि॒या दि॑दिष्टन॒ सूरो॑ निनिक्त र॒श्मिभिः॑
yuvorhi mātāditirvicetasā dyaurna bhūmiḥ payasā pupūtani ava priyā didiṣṭana sūro ninikta raśmibhiḥ
O Aditi — mother of you all — the sky and earth with their waters are fresh by your thought; the shining hero gave the beloved boon, sending down rays.

यु॒वं ह्य॑प्न॒राजा॒वसी॑दतं॒ तिष्ठ॒द्रथं॒ न धू॒र्षदं॑ वन॒र्षद॑म् । ता नः॑ कणूक॒यन्ती॑र्नृ॒मेध॑स्तत्रे॒ अंह॑सः सु॒मेध॑स्तत्रे॒ अंह॑सः
yuvaṃ hyapnarājāvasīdataṃ tiṣṭhadrathaṃ na dhūrṣadaṃ vanarṣadam tā naḥ kaṇūkayantīrnṛmedhastatre aṃhasaḥ sumedhastatre aṃhasaḥ
You two took possession and stayed like kings on the chariot; do not be rash in the forest path. May those who measure strength aid us there — the strong, the heroic ones.
