ayaṃ venaścodayatpṛśnigarbhā jyotirjarāyū rajaso vimāne imamapāṃ saṃgame sūryasya śiśuṃ na viprā matibhī rihanti
This bolt (ven) rose, the womb‑born radiant, ancient in birth, shining with dust in the sky. In the union of waters the sun's offspring—no priests can harm that child with their counsel.

samudrādūrmimudiyarti veno nabhojāḥ pṛṣṭhaṃ haryatasya darśi ṛtasya sānāvadhi viṣṭapi bhrāṭ samānaṃ yonimabhyanūṣata vrāḥ
From the ocean a wave rises; the bolt bears heaven's back—behold that sight. The seam of cosmic order, in equable measure, the brother Vishtapi fashioned alike the wombs.

samānaṃ pūrvīrabhi vāvaśānāstiṣṭhanvatsasya mātaraḥ sanīḷāḥ ṛtasya sānāvadhi cakramāṇā rihanti madhvo amṛtasya vāṇīḥ
Equal with the ancients stand the sucklings; the mother, waxing, is strong. The measured limit of law, the mild ones remove, the sweet voices free from decay of immortality.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 10, Sukta 123 · Verse 10.123.4
jānanto rūpamakṛpanta viprā mṛgasya ghoṣaṃ mahiṣasya hi gman ṛtena yanto adhi sindhumasthurvidadgandharvo amṛtāni nāma
Knowing forms, the seers cleave the cry of the stag, of the bull that bellows. Passing by law they went to the flood—Gandharva made known the names of immortals.

apsarā jāramupasiṣmiyāṇā yoṣā bibharti parame vyoman caratpriyasya yoniṣu priyaḥ sansīdatpakṣe hiraṇyaye sa venaḥ
An apsara, aged, approaching, bears a woman in the supreme heaven. Moving in the favored wombs, the beloved settled on the wing, the golden bolt was that ven.

nāke suparṇamupa yatpatantaṃ hṛdā venanto abhyacakṣata tvā hiraṇyapakṣaṃ varuṇasya dūtaṃ yamasya yonau śakunaṃ bhuraṇyum
There flew the golden‑winged up to the navel; with heart the bolts saw you. The golden‑wing, messenger of Varuna, of Yama, in the pair of origins a bird most manifold.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 10, Sukta 123 · Verse 10.123.8
drapsaḥ samudramabhi yajjigāti paśyangṛdhrasya cakṣasā vidharman bhānuḥ śukreṇa śociṣā cakānastṛtīye cakre rajasi priyāṇi
From the sea the droplet sped that flew, seen by the vulture's eye. The radiant one with shining sorrow lamented; on the third he made a path in rajas, beloved.
