This bolt (ven) rose, the womb‑born radiant, ancient in birth, shining with dust in the sky. In the union of waters the sun's offspring—no priests can harm that child with their counsel.
This Vena, enfolded in the membrane of light, urges on (the waters) the germs of the Sun in thefirmament of the water; the sages cherish him at the confluence of the waters, and the sun with endearments likea child.
SEE, Vena, born in light, hath driven hither, on chariot of the air, the Calves of Prsni. Singers with hymns caress him as an infant there where the waters and the sunlight mingle.
