Knowing forms, the seers cleave the cry of the stag, of the bull that bellows. Passing by law they went to the flood—Gandharva made known the names of immortals.
The pious, knowing his form, praised him, for they followed the city of the great deer; approaching hmwith sacrifice, they reached the flowing (water), for the sustainer of the waters knows the ambrosial (fluids).
Knowing his form, the sages yearned to meet him: they have come nigh to hear the wild Bull's bellow. Performing sacrifice they reached the river: for the Gandharva found the immortal waters.
