प्रत्व॑क्षसः॒ प्रत॑वसो विर॒प्शिनोऽना॑नता॒ अवि॑थुरा ऋजी॒षिणः॑ । जुष्ट॑तमासो॒ नृत॑मासो अ॒ञ्जिभि॒र्व्या॑नज्रे॒ के चि॑दु॒स्रा इ॑व॒ स्तृभिः॑
pratvakṣasaḥ pratavaso virapśino'nānatā avithurā ṛjīṣiṇaḥ juṣṭatamāso nṛtamāso añjibhirvyānajre ke cidusrā iva stṛbhiḥ
Manifest, bold, undaunted, unwearied are the vigorous singers; they rejoiced in order, in dance and with raised songs like steeds newly shod, as if with fresh dew they stood.

उ॒प॒ह्व॒रेषु॒ यदचि॑ध्वं य॒यिं वय॑ इव मरुतः॒ केन॑ चित्प॒था । श्चोत॑न्ति॒ कोशा॒ उप॑ वो॒ रथे॒ष्वा घृ॒तमु॑क्षता॒ मधु॑वर्ण॒मर्च॑ते
upahvareṣu yadacidhvaṃ yayiṃ vaya iva marutaḥ kena citpathā ścotanti kośā upa vo ratheṣvā ghṛtamukṣatā madhuvarṇamarcate
When you sit by the side-benches where you have prepared, as if like the Maruts by some path, the vessels overflow; you pour clarified butter into chariots and offer honey-colored libations.

प्रैषा॒मज्मे॑षु विथु॒रेव॑ रेजते॒ भूमि॒र्यामे॑षु॒ यद्ध॑ यु॒ञ्जते॑ शु॒भे । ते क्री॒ळयो॒ धुन॑यो॒ भ्राज॑दृष्टयः स्व॒यं म॑हि॒त्वं प॑नयन्त॒ धूत॑यः
praiṣāmajmeṣu vithureva rejate bhūmiryāmeṣu yaddha yuñjate śubhe te krīḷayo dhunayo bhrājadṛṣṭayaḥ svayaṃ mahitvaṃ panayanta dhūtayaḥ
He spreads among flocks on the rugged heights; on these plains what the auspicious one joins together. They play their sports, beat the drums, their shining eyes themselves bear greatness, purified ones.

स हि स्व॒सृत्पृष॑दश्वो॒ युवा॑ ग॒णो॒३॒॑ऽया ई॑शा॒नस्तवि॑षीभि॒रावृ॑तः । असि॑ स॒त्य ऋ॑ण॒यावाने॑द्यो॒ऽस्या धि॒यः प्रा॑वि॒ताथा॒ वृषा॑ ग॒णः
sa hi svasṛtpṛṣadaśvo yuvā gaṇo3'yā īśānastaviṣībhirāvṛtaḥ asi satya ṛṇayāvānedyo'syā dhiyaḥ prāvitāthā vṛṣā gaṇaḥ
He indeed, springing with his swift steeds, the youthful company—this ruler encircled by the powerful ones. He is true, the bearer of vows; the wise one advanced, bulls of the troop.

पि॒तुः प्र॒त्नस्य॒ जन्म॑ना वदामसि॒ सोम॑स्य जि॒ह्वा प्र जि॑गाति॒ चक्ष॑सा । यदी॒मिन्द्रं॒ शम्यृक्वा॑ण॒ आश॒तादिन्नामा॑नि य॒ज्ञिया॑नि दधिरे
pituḥ pratnasya janmanā vadāmasi somasya jihvā pra jigāti cakṣasā yadīmindraṃ śamyṛkvāṇa āśatādinnāmāni yajñiyāni dadhire
I speak of the father of the first by birth: Soma’s tongue sings forth with the eye. If you calm Indra, having bound names like offerings, they gave sacrificial goods.

श्रि॒यसे॒ कं भा॒नुभिः॒ सं मि॑मिक्षिरे॒ ते र॒श्मिभि॒स्त ऋक्व॑भिः सुखा॒दयः॑ । ते वाशी॑मन्त इ॒ष्मिणो॒ अभी॑रवो वि॒द्रे प्रि॒यस्य॒ मारु॑तस्य॒ धाम्नः॑
śriyase kaṃ bhānubhiḥ saṃ mimikṣire te raśmibhista ṛkvabhiḥ sukhādayaḥ te vāśīmanta iṣmiṇo abhīravo vidre priyasya mārutasya dhāmnaḥ
May glorious splendour, with the rays of light, look kindly upon you and bring delight with the Rigvedic hymns. May the gleaming, powerful ones of the rock—wardens of the beloved Marut’s abode—be yours.
