त्रि॒मू॒र्धानं॑ स॒प्तर॑श्मिं गृणी॒षेऽनू॑नम॒ग्निं पि॒त्रोरु॒पस्थे॑ । नि॒ष॒त्तम॑स्य॒ चर॑तो ध्रु॒वस्य॒ विश्वा॑ दि॒वो रो॑च॒नाप॑प्रि॒वांस॑म्
trimūrdhānaṃ saptaraśmiṃ gṛṇīṣe'nūnamagniṃ pitrorupasthe niṣattamasya carato dhruvasya viśvā divo rocanāpaprivāṃsam
Three-headed, seven-rayed, I call upon the least Agni who stands like an ancestral presence. Setting him, moving of the fixed one, all the lights of heaven spread about him.

उ॒क्षा म॒हाँ अ॒भि व॑वक्ष एने अ॒जर॑स्तस्थावि॒तऊ॑तिरृ॒ष्वः । उ॒र्व्याः प॒दो नि द॑धाति॒ सानौ॑ रि॒हन्त्यूधो॑ अरु॒षासो॑ अस्य
ukṣā mahām̐ abhi vavakṣa ene ajarastasthāvitaūtirṛṣvaḥ urvyāḥ pado ni dadhāti sānau rihantyūdho aruṣāso asya
The mighty thicket spoke to him: these are the imperishable ones standing, the high ones. He places the steps of the east; the two steeds restrain the battle, the radiant ones of this (beast).

स॒मा॒नं व॒त्सम॒भि सं॒चर॑न्ती॒ विष्व॑ग्धे॒नू वि च॑रतः सु॒मेके॑ । अ॒न॒प॒वृ॒ज्याँ अध्व॑नो॒ मिमा॑ने॒ विश्वा॒न्केता॒ँ अधि॑ म॒हो दधा॑ने
samānaṃ vatsamabhi saṃcarantī viṣvagdhenū vi carataḥ sumeke anapavṛjyām̐ adhvano mimāne viśvānketām̐ adhi maho dadhāne
Together moving like calves, all-besprinkled kine wander; one by one, unimpeded, they pass along the path. He set many standards of signs above the great ones for the herd.

धीरा॑सः प॒दं क॒वयो॑ नयन्ति॒ नाना॑ हृ॒दा रक्ष॑माणा अजु॒र्यम् । सिषा॑सन्तः॒ पर्य॑पश्यन्त॒ सिन्धु॑मा॒विरे॑भ्यो अभव॒त्सूर्यो॒ नॄन्
dhīrāsaḥ padaṃ kavayo nayanti nānā hṛdā rakṣamāṇā ajuryam siṣāsantaḥ paryapaśyanta sindhumāvirebhyo abhavatsūryo nṝn
Wise seers lead the path; varied hearts guard the unbroken rampart. Looking around, they beheld the floods poured forth; the sun became for men.

दि॒दृ॒क्षेण्यः॒ परि॒ काष्ठा॑सु॒ जेन्य॑ ई॒ळेन्यो॑ म॒हो अर्भा॑य जी॒वसे॑ । पु॒रु॒त्रा यदभ॑व॒त्सूरहै॑भ्यो॒ गर्भे॑भ्यो म॒घवा॑ वि॒श्वद॑र्शतः
didṛkṣeṇyaḥ pari kāṣṭhāsu jenya īḷenyo maho arbhāya jīvase purutrā yadabhavatsūrahaibhyo garbhebhyo maghavā viśvadarśataḥ
One who looked around at the logs with the stirred embers lived greatly by offerings of the earth. Sons that were with the surging waters, from wombs, famous ones showed the world.
