विजयश च धृतिं पुत्रम अवाप। तस्यापि धृतव्रतः पुत्रो ऽभूत। धृतव्रतात सत्यकर्मा सत्यकर्मणस त्व अधिरथः। यो ऽसौ गङ्गां गतो मञ्जूषागतं पृथापविद्धं कर्णं पुत्रम अवाप। कर्णाद वृषसेन इत्य एते ऽङ्गाः।।
vijayaś ca dhṛtiṃ putram avāpa| tasyāpi dhṛtavrataḥ putro 'bhūt| dhṛtavratāt satyakarmā satyakarmaṇas tv adhirathaḥ| yo 'sau gaṅgāṃ gato mañjūṣāgataṃ pṛthāpaviddhaṃ karṇaṃ putram avāpa| karṇād vṛṣasena ity ete 'ṅgāḥ||
Victory and determination were attained by him. From that determination, a son named Dhritavrata was born. From Dhritavrata, a son named Satyakarma was born, who was a great charioteer. He who went to the Ganges, received the son named Karna, who was struck by the earth. These are the descendants of Karna, known as Vṛṣasena.
