When your bolt struck the arms, O Indra, the unshakable fell; mountains were set moving, cows advanced, and the lofty gods looked upon Indra.
When, Indra, you grasp in your arms your pride humbling thunderbolt to smite Ahi, when the mountainclouds loudly roar and the cows loudly bellow, then the brāhmaṇas offer their worship to Indra.
He is our Sire who gives to us, Great, Mighty, ruling as he wills. Unsought, may he the Strong, Rich, Lord of ample wealth, give us of horses and of kine.
