अ॒भि प्र भ॑र धृष॒ता धृ॑षन्मनः॒ श्रव॑श्चित्ते असद्बृ॒हत् । अर्ष॒न्त्वापो॒ जव॑सा॒ वि मा॒तरो॒ हनो॑ वृ॒त्रं जया॒ स्वः॑
abhi pra bhara dhṛṣatā dhṛṣanmanaḥ śravaścitte asadbṛhat arṣantvāpo javasā vi mātaro hano vṛtraṃ jayā svaḥ
They bore him forward with resolute mind, firm in spirit, hearing and thought great and not false. Waters rushed with strength, mothers aided; they struck down Vritra by mighty victory.
Daring-souled (Indra), there is abundance of food with you-- boldly bring it to us; let our mothers (thewaters) impetuously spread over the earth; smite Vṛtra, and conquer all.
Here am I, look upon me here, O singer. All that existeth 1 surpass in greatness. The Holy Law's commandments make me mighty. Rending with strength
