What the seers offered in the ancient town that was fitting for men — O Ashvins who have come, accept this well‑spoken praise of mine.

Leaders of rites, when the Ṛṣis formerly invoked you for protection, you came; so now, Aśvins, comeat my devout praises.

As, Heroes, in the olden time the Rsis called you to their aid, So now, O Asvins, come to us, come near to this mine eulogy.
