This Agni of a thousand energies, lord of strength and hundredfold power—he is the chief seer, the wealth of poets.

This Agni is the lord of hundredfold and thousandfold food; he is the head, the seer, (the lord) of wealth.

And that Impetuous Hero, winner of the spoil, though he is far away, we call to succour us, Whose gracious favour, like a father's, is most sweet. Break ye not off our friendship, come and set me free.
