न यं दु॒ध्रा वर॑न्ते॒ न स्थि॒रा मुरो॒ मदे॑ सुशि॒प्रमन्ध॑सः । य आ॒दृत्या॑ शशमा॒नाय॑ सुन्व॒ते दाता॑ जरि॒त्र उ॒क्थ्य॑म्
na yaṃ dudhrā varante na sthirā muro made suśipramandhasaḥ ya ādṛtyā śaśamānāya sunvate dātā jaritra ukthyam
Not one who is foul is honoured, nor the unsteady fool in drunken pride; he who with gentle restraint sustains the calm, the giver protects with song.
He, the handsome-jawed, whom, inthe intoxication of the Soma, the fierce (demons) withstand not, north firm gods, nor mortal (men)-- who confers glorious wealth on him who reverently praises him, offers the Somaand sings hymns.
Then Savassi declared to him Aurnavabha, Ahisuva: Son, these be they thou must o'erthrow
