vayaṃ ghā te apūrvyendra brahmāṇi vṛtrahan purūtamāsaḥ puruhūta vajrivo bhṛtiṃ na pra bharāmasi
We slew for you that unprecedented Indra among the gods, the slayer of Vṛtra, the foremost of men; the priest Vṛṣṇi bore not the service of sustenance for nothing.
Indra, slayer of Vṛra, invoked of many, we, your many worshippers, offer new hymns to you, thunderer,as your wages.
Most deadly is thy bow, successful, fashioned well: good is thine arrow, decked with gold. Warlike and well equipped thine arms are, which increase sweetness for him who drinks the sweet.
