He who does not find cure in hymns, who laments the seer’s reproaches: speak out, O seeker, to Indra; do not consume the one who will be divinely brought to you.

Sing that Indra with the new hymn who has no lack of praises, who is wise and the inspirer of seers,who is as it were eager to enjoy.

Lord of swift bounty, he will win e'en with a steed of worthless sort. This, Indra, must be told of thee who wilt perform heroic deeds.
