saṃ naḥ śiśīhi bhurijoriva kṣuraṃ rāsva rāyo vimocana tve tannaḥ suvedamusriyaṃ vasu yaṃ tvaṃ hinoṣi martyam
Grant us a razor-sharp śiśīha and knife, O dispenser, loosener of kings. Give us that auspicious treasure, O Vasus, which you have procured for mortals.
Sharpen us like a razor in the hands (of a barber); grant us riches, liberator (from iniquity), the wealth ofcattle easily obtained by us from you, such wealth as you bestow upon the (pious) mortal.
Sharpen us like a razor in the barber's hands: send riches thou who settest free. Easy to find with thee are treasures of the Dawn for mortal man whom thou dost speed.
