य उ॒ग्रः सन्ननि॑ष्टृतः स्थि॒रो रणा॑य॒ संस्कृ॑तः । यदि॑ स्तो॒तुर्म॒घवा॑ शृ॒णव॒द्धवं॒ नेन्द्रो॑ योष॒त्या ग॑मत्
ya ugraḥ sannaniṣṭṛtaḥ sthiro raṇāya saṃskṛtaḥ yadi stoturmaghavā śaṛṇavaddhavaṃ nendro yoṣatyā gamat
He fierce, though restrained, stands firm for battle made by rites. If the slayer of foes praised loudly had heard, Indra would have gone with the heroes to the place.
He who is fierce, unmoved (by foes) and firm, ready equipped for battle-- if Maghavan hears theinvocation of his adorer, he will not go apart (from us) but come here.
When he, the Mighty, ne'er o'erthrown, steadfast, made ready for the fight, When Indra Maghavan lists to his praiser's call, he will not stand aloof, but come.
