Agni, come with well-ordered rites and offerings, with sacred invocations and the attendant libations, as when a messenger became a carrier of the oblation.

Proceed, Agni, with pious praises, offering in due order the oblations (to the gods), for you are theirmessenger, the bearer of oblations.

Called straight to our oblations, come, O Agni, through our eulogies, As thou hast been our envoy bearing up our gifts.
