Grant us, Indra, your prowess, your steeds, your song; be priest for the former thought, place it at the foot.

Bestow upon us, Indra, (wealth), comprising worthy male ofspring, excellent horses, and good cattle;like the ministrant priest (I worship you) at the sacrifice, (to secure) your prior consideration.

As Priest, O Indra, give us wealth in brave men and good steeds ana kine That we may first remember thee for sacrifice.
