We have mixed for you the sunlike immortals, they who were formerly immortal servants. We recite the pure-invoking cry, we offer the songs of the pious; O Br̥haspati, we call forth the waters and invoke them with homage.

May the first-born immortals (by his command) bestow upon us the food that is necessary for existence;let us invoke the unresisted Bṛhaspati, to whom pure praises are addressed, he adored of householder.

To us these Deathless Ones, erst born, have granted this laud of ours which gives the Immortal pleasure. Let us invoke Brhaspati, the foeless, the clear-voiced God, the Holy One of households
