ya āpirnityo varuṇa priyaḥ santvāmāgāṃsi kṛṇavatsakhā te mā ta enasvanto yakṣinbhujema yandhi ṣmā vipraḥ stuvate varūtham
O Aphi, unfailing Varuṇa, beloved, may you come to us, do good, O friend. Do not, when near, seize us with your harmfulness; let not the priest praise calamity.
May he your unvarying kin, who was ever dear, though committing offences against you, still be yourfriend; adorable Varuṇa, offending you, let us not enjoy (happiness); but do you, who are wise, bestow on yourworshipper a secure abode.
If he, thy true ally, hath sinned against thee, still, Varuna, he is the friend thou lovedst. Let us not, Living One, as sinners I know thee: give shelter, as a Sage, to him who lauds thee.
