You, like a great realm, spread the two heavens with chariots, teams and couches. May Varuna’s favor encircle us; Indra made the world fat for us.
Your vast kingdom of heaven gratifies (the world with rain), you who bind (the sinner) with bonds notmade of rope; may the wrath of Varuṇa pass away from us; may Indra prepare for us a spacious region.
Dyaus quickens and promotes your high dominion who bind with bonds not wrought of rope or cordage. Far from us still be Varuna's displeasure may Indra give us spacious room to dwell in.
