udusriyāḥ sṛjate sūryaḥ sacām̐ udyannakṣatramarcivat taveduṣo vyuṣi sūryasya ca saṃ bhaktena gamemahi
The sun generates brightness, releasing the rising stars with the shining host. To your shining one we, devoted, come forth to the sun's splendour.
At the same time the sun sends forth his rays, and, rising, renders the plural nets luminous; so, Uṣas,upon your manifestation, and that of Sūrya, may we become possessed of sustenance.
The Sun ascending, the refulgent Star, pours down his beams together with the Dawn. O Dawn, at thine arising, and the Sun's, may we attain the share allotted us.
