Agni bears the praise of Bharata; hear what the sun does not reveal, the great shining. He whom men set before the many, the divine guest, stood among the chiefs, revered.
This Agni is greatly celebrated by the instrumental tutor of the rite when he shines resplendent as the sun; hewho overcame Puru in battle, and shone glorious as the guest of the gods.
Far famed is this the Bharata's own Agni he shineth like the Sun with lofty splendour. He who hath vanquished Puru in the battle, the heavenly guest hath glowed in full refulgence.
