यु॒वं च्यवा॑नं ज॒रसो॑ऽमुमुक्तं॒ नि पे॒दव॑ ऊहथुरा॒शुमश्व॑म् । निरंह॑स॒स्तम॑सः स्पर्त॒मत्रिं॒ नि जा॑हु॒षं शि॑थि॒रे धा॑तम॒न्तः
yuvaṃ cyavānaṃ jaraso'mumuktaṃ ni pedava ūhathurāśumaśvam niraṃhasastamasaḥ spartamatriṃ ni jāhuṣaṃ śithire dhātamantaḥ
You, aged leader, freed the youthful Chyavana from old age; you caused the dark steed to be cleansed. Darkness was dispelled, his vigor fixed within; they set him firm in his place.
You exempted Cyavana from decay; you mounted Pedu upon a swift charger; you extricated Atri fromtorture and darkness; you replaced Jāhuṣa in his rebellious kingdom.
Ye freed Cyavana from old age and weakness: ye brought the courser fleet of food to Pedu. Ye rescued Atri from distress and darkness, and loosed for Jahusa the bonds that bound him.
