अ॒स्मे वी॒रो म॑रुतः शु॒ष्म्य॑स्तु॒ जना॑नां॒ यो असु॑रो विध॒र्ता । अ॒पो येन॑ सुक्षि॒तये॒ तरे॒माध॒ स्वमोको॑ अ॒भि वः॑ स्याम
asme vīro marutaḥ śuṣmyastu janānāṃ yo asuro vidhartā apo yena sukṣitaye taremādha svamoko abhi vaḥ syāma
May the Marut hero be gentle to my people, he who makes foes not—he is the maker of stormless welfare. By him whose waters are for our protection, may we pass safely; may he be with you.
May our male progeny, Maruts, be vigorous, one who is intelligent, the scatterer of (hostile) men, bywhom we may cross the water (of enmity) to a secure dwelling; may we, your (servants), dwell in our own abode.
Ours, O ye Maruts, be the vigorous Hero, the Lord Divine of men, the strong Sustainer, With whom to fair lands we may cross the waters, and dwell in our own home with you beside us.
