आ॒दि॒त्यासो॒ अदि॑तयः स्याम॒ पूर्दे॑व॒त्रा व॑सवो मर्त्य॒त्रा । सने॑म मित्रावरुणा॒ सन॑न्तो॒ भवे॑म द्यावापृथिवी॒ भव॑न्तः
ādityāso aditayaḥ syāma pūrdevatrā vasavo martyatrā sanema mitrāvaruṇā sananto bhavema dyāvāpṛthivī bhavantaḥ
May the Adityas and Aditis be our fore and rear protectors; the Vasus be with us among mortals. May Mitra and Varuṇa be friendly; may we become mighty, dwelling between heaven and earth.
Ādityas, may we be independent; Vasus, (dwelling) among the gods, may your protection (extend) tomortals; offering (oblations to you), Mitra and Varuṇa, may we partake (of your bounty); may we, heaven andearth exist (through your favour).
MAY we be free from every bond, Adityas! a castle among Gods and men, ye Vasus. Winning, may we win Varuna and Mitra, and, being, may we be, O Earth and Heaven.
