आ मां मि॑त्रावरुणे॒ह र॑क्षतं कुला॒यय॑द्वि॒श्वय॒न्मा न॒ आ ग॑न् । अ॒ज॒का॒वं दु॒र्दृशी॑कं ति॒रो द॑धे॒ मा मां पद्ये॑न॒ रप॑सा विद॒त्त्सरुः॑
ā māṃ mitrāvaruṇeha rakṣataṃ kulāyayadviśvayanmā na ā gan ajakāvaṃ durdṛśīkaṃ tiro dadhe mā māṃ padyena rapasā vidattsaruḥ
May Mitra and Varuṇa protect me; may they not let harm come upon my family or the world. May they not place upon me the evil‑fate that harms; may the swift‑moving foe not overtake me.
Mitra and Varuṇa, protect me here (in this world) let not the insidious and spreading (poison) reach me;may the equally malignant and undiscernible (venom) disappear; let not the tortuous (snake) recognize me by thesound of my footsteps.
O MITRA-VARUNA, guard and protect me here: let not that come to me which nests within and swells.
