Those ancient artisans sit, their commands pervading all, moving forth in prowess. Indra fashioned craft and strength, the noble one opposing the foe, he made the mortal hero.
They verily, (Indra and Ṛbhus), overcome multitudes by their prowess; they overcome all enemies inthe missile conflict; may Indra, Vibhvan, Ṛbhukṣin and Vāja, the subduers of foes, annihilate by their wrath thestrength of the enemy.
For they rule many tribes with high dominion, and conquer all their foes in close encounter. May Indra, Vibhvan, Vaja, and Rbhuksan destroy by turns the wicked foeman's valour.
