dadhikrāvāṇaṃ bubudhāno agnimupa bruva uṣasaṃ sūryaṃ gām bradhnaṃ mām̐ścatorvaruṇasya babhruṃ te viśvāsmadduritā yāvayantu
The dadhikrās spoke, invoking Agni: the dawn, the sun, the cows. They prayed for cattle and meat, for Varuṇa’s brownness; may all our trusts come to fulfillment.
Propitiating Dadhikrāvan, I glorify Agni, Uṣas, the sun, the earth, the great brown horse of Varuṇa,who is mindful of his adorers; may they put far away from us iniquities.
While I am thus arousing Dadhikravan I speak to Agni, Earth, and Dawn, and Surya, The red, the brown of Varuna ever mindful: may they ward off from us all grief and trouble.
