nū rodasī abhiṣṭute vasiṣṭhairṛtāvāno varuṇo mitro agniḥ yacchantu candrā upamaṃ no arkaṃ yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
(repeat) O radiant Dawn, be propitious as wished by the Vasisṭhas; Varuna, Mitra and Agni are favourable. Let the moons grant us the sunlike counterpart; you, protect us always with blessings.
Heaven and earth are now glorified by the Vasiṣṭhas, as are Varuṇa the object of worship, and Mitraand Agni; may they, the conferrers of joy, bestow upon us excellent food; and do you (all) ever cherish us withblessings.
Now have both worlds been praised by the Vasisthas, and holy Mitra, Varuna, and Agni. May they, bright Deities, make our song supremest. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
