mātra pūṣannāghṛṇa irasyo varūtrī yadrātiṣācaśca rāsan mayobhuvo no arvanto ni pāntu vṛṣṭiṃ parijmā vāto dadātu
Pūṣan measured out the portion; Varuṇtrī and those who move at the forms arranged the courses. May those born of Maya bring us rain; may the winds grant full showers around us.
Resplendent Pūṣan, oppose not (hindrance) on this occasion; may the protectress, (Sarasvatī) andthe liberal (wives of the gods), grant us wealth; may the ever-moving deities, the sources of happiness, protectus; may the circumambient Vāta send us rain.
Be not thou angry here, O glowing Pusan, for what Varutri and the Bounteous gave us. May the swift-moving Gods protect and bless us, and Vata send us rain, wha wanders round us.
