उद्यस्य॑ ते॒ नव॑जातस्य॒ वृष्णोऽग्ने॒ चर॑न्त्य॒जरा॑ इधा॒नाः । अच्छा॒ द्याम॑रु॒षो धू॒म ए॑ति॒ सं दू॒तो अ॑ग्न॒ ईय॑से॒ हि दे॒वान्
udyasya te navajātasya vṛṣṇo'gne carantyajarā idhānāḥ acchā dyāmaruṣo dhūma eti saṃ dūto agna īyase hi devān
For the newborn of thy rising, O Agni, the bulls go grazing; the steeds are here. The cloud‑ember of the sky sends forth smoke: messenger Agni, you carry it to the gods.
The kindled undecaying flames of you, the newly born, the showerer, rise up; the luminous smokespreads along the sky; and you, Agni, proceed as their messenger to the gods.
From thee a Bull but newly born, O Agni, the kindled everlasting flames rise upward. Aloft to heaven thy ruddy smoke ascendeth: Agni, thou speedest to the Gods as envoy.
