evā vasiṣṭha indramūtaye nṝnkṛṣṭīnāṃ vṛṣabhaṃ sute gṛṇāti sahasriṇa upa no māhi vājānyūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
Thus Vasiṣṭha invoked Indra: he praises the bull of men for the cultivators; grant us a thousandfold wealth, O mighty one, protect us always with well-being.
Thus does Vasiṣṭha glorify Indra, the showerer (of benefits) upon the worshippers for the preservationof mankind; bestow upon us, (Indra), thousands of viands; do you ever cherish us with blessings.
Thus, to bring help to men, Vasistha laudeth Indra, the peoples' Hero, at libation. Bestow upon us strength and wealth in thousands. Preserve us evermore, ye Gods, with blessings.
