च॒कार॒ ता कृ॒णव॑न्नू॒नम॒न्या यानि॑ ब्रु॒वन्ति॑ वे॒धसः॑ सु॒तेषु॑ । जनी॑रिव॒ पति॒रेकः॑ समा॒नो नि मा॑मृजे॒ पुर॒ इन्द्रः॒ सु सर्वाः॑
cakāra tā kṛṇavannūnamanyā yāni bruvanti vedhasaḥ suteṣu janīriva patirekaḥ samāno ni māmṛje pura indraḥ su sarvāḥ
They performed, made and decreed the lesser acts that the wise ones among the singers speak. Like a single husband to a maiden, so may Indra not reject me; may he be entirely favorable.
Such exploits as his worshippers, when the Soma is effused, proclaim that he has achieved, let himnow perform; may Indra, equal (to the task) and unaided, possess all the riches (of the asuras) as a husband hiswives.
These deeds he did; let him achieve new exploits, such as the priests declare at their libations. Indra hath taken and possessed all castles, like as one common husband doth his spouses.
