May we be friends with Indra of wide might; salutations to the great spreader, the lofty one. May your dwelling be in front of us; be near, O protector, as you destroy the foes of men and of cattle.
May we, daily increasing in reverence, be (regarded), Indra, (as) your friends; through the protection ofyou, surpasser in greatness, may (your worshippers) repulse the attack of the foe in battle, the strength of themalevolent.
May we, O Indra, be thy friends for ever, eagerly, Conqueror, yielding greater homage. May, through thy grace, the strength of us who battle quell in the shock the onset of the foeman.
