Do not cast us out with a thousand around this realm; protect the earth, O far-striding Hari. Save us from wolves and the marauding host; may we be dear among the brave.
Powerful Indra, lord of horses, let us not be exposed at this ceremony, addressed to you, to themurderous despoiler; protect us with impregnable defences; may we be held dear among your worshippers.
Give us not up, Lord of Bay Horses, Victor, in this thine own assembly, to the wicked. Deliver us with true and faithful succours: dear may we be to thee among the princes.
