You, bearer of daring, upheld the sacrifice free from fear, spreading it with all shining rites to the generous one. You, who terrified the city-robber, entered the field for slaying Vritra for the people.
Undaunted (Indra), you had protected with all your protections Sudāsa, the offerer of oblations; youhave protected in battles with enemies for the possession of the earth Trasadasyu, the son of Purukutsa, andPuru.
O Bold One, thou with all thine aids hast boldly holpen Sudas whose offerings were accepted, Puru in winning land and slaying foemen, and Trasadasyu son of Purukutsa.
