नि ग॒व्यवोऽन॑वो द्रु॒ह्यव॑श्च ष॒ष्टिः श॒ता सु॑षुपुः॒ षट् स॒हस्रा॑ । ष॒ष्टिर्वी॒रासो॒ अधि॒ षड्दु॑वो॒यु विश्वेदिन्द्र॑स्य वी॒र्या॑ कृ॒तानि॑
ni gavyavo'navo druhyavaśca ṣaṣṭiḥ śatā suṣupuḥ ṣaṭ sahasrā ṣaṣṭirvīrāso adhi ṣaḍduvoyu viśvedindrasya vīryā kṛtāni
Sixty and a hundred and six hundred and six thousand—these multitude of heroes were made by Indra; he endowed strength and made them brave in every war.
The warriors of the Anus and Druhyus, intending (to carry off the) cattle, (hostile) to the pious(Sudāsa) perished to the number of sixty-six thousand six hundred and sixty; such are all the glorious acts ofIndra.
The Anavas and Druhyus, seeking booty, have slept, the sixty hundred, yea, six thousand, And six-and-sixty heroes. For the pious were all these mighty exploits done by Indra.
