इन्द्रा॑सोमा व॒र्तय॑तं दि॒वो व॒धं सं पृ॑थि॒व्या अ॒घशं॑साय॒ तर्ह॑णम् । उत्त॑क्षतं स्व॒र्यं१॒॑ पर्व॑तेभ्यो॒ येन॒ रक्षो॑ वावृधा॒नं नि॒जूर्व॑थः
indrāsomā vartayataṃ divo vadhaṃ saṃ pṛthivyā aghaśaṃsāya tarhaṇam uttakṣataṃ svaryaṃ1 parvatebhyo yena rakṣo vāvṛdhānaṃ nijūrvathaḥ
Indra and Soma set the course for heaven’s slaying and the earth’s expiation of guilt. The sun rose up from the mountains, by which the guardian increased the property of his folk.
Indra and Soma, disperse from heaven your fatal (weapon), the extirpator from earth of the malignant(rākṣasas) put forth from the clouds the consuming, (thunderbolt), wherewith you slay the increasing rākṣasarace.
Indra and Soma, hurl your deadly crushing bolt down on the wicked fiend from heaven and from the earth. Yea, forge out of the mountains your celestial dart wherewith ye burn to death the waxing demon race.
