indrāsomā tapataṃ rakṣa ubjataṃ nyarpayataṃ vṛṣaṇā tamovṛdhaḥ parā śaṛṇītamacito nyoṣataṃ hataṃ nudethāṃ ni śiśītamatriṇaḥ
Indra and Soma, burning, protect the sprouting grain, the growing kine, the steers mounting. Hear thus rightly: lay down what was struck down, cool the slain among the three.
Indra and Soma, afflict, destroy the rākṣasas; showerers (of benefits) cast down those who delight indarkness; put to flight the stupid (spirits); consume, slay, drive away, utterly extermiante the cannibals.
INDRA and Soma, burn, destroy the demon foe, send downward, O ye Bulls, those who add gloom to gloom. Annihilate the fools, slay them and burn them up: chase them away from us, pierce the voracious ones.
