मा नो॑ अग्ने दुर्भृ॒तये॒ सचै॒षु दे॒वेद्धे॑ष्व॒ग्निषु॒ प्र वो॑चः । मा ते॑ अ॒स्मान्दु॑र्म॒तयो॑ भृ॒माच्चि॑द्दे॒वस्य॑ सूनो सहसो नशन्त
mā no agne durbhṛtaye sacaiṣu deveddheṣvagniṣu pra vocaḥ mā te asmāndurmatayo bhṛmācciddevasya sūno sahaso naśanta
May Agni not speak for the ill-doer among gods, nor for the wicked in assemblies of the gods. May thy evil counsels not touch us; may the god's son not utterly destroy by force.
Command not the fires kindled by the priests with which you are united to work as evil; let not thedispleasure, even in error, of you, the son of strength, who are divine, fall upon us.
Condemn us not to indigence, O Agni, beside these flaming fires which Gods have kindled; Nor, even after fault, let thy displeasure, thine as a God, O Son of Strength, o'ertake us.
