जना॑य चि॒द्य ईव॑त उ लो॒कं बृह॒स्पति॑र्दे॒वहू॑तौ च॒कार॑ । घ्नन्वृ॒त्राणि॒ वि पुरो॑ दर्दरीति॒ जय॒ञ्छत्रू॑ँर॒मित्रा॑न्पृ॒त्सु साह॑न्
janāya cidya īvata u lokaṃ bṛhaspatirdevahūtau cakāra ghnanvṛtrāṇi vi puro dardarīti jayañchatrūm̐ramitrānpṛtsu sāhan
He shattered foes and uprooted Vritra in the towns, declared victory to people like a hymn. Brihaspati sacrificed and proclaimed the oblation; he smote enemies and gave triumph to allies in hosts.
Bṛhaspati, who has appointed a region for the man who attends diligently at divine worship, destroying impediments, conquering foes, overcoming enemies, demolished various cities (of the asuras).
Brhaspati, who made for such a people wide room and verge when Gods were invocated, Slaying his enemies, breaks down their castles, quelling his foes and conquering those who hate him.
