Indra and Soma made the ripe herds to dwell within the cows, placed cattle in their stalls, and roused the splendid ones among the worlds within.
Indra and Soma, you have deposited the mature (milk) in the immature udders of the kine; you have retained the white (secretion), although not shut up within those may-coloured cattle.
Ye in the unripe udders of the milch-kine have set the ripe milk, Indra, thou, and Soma. Ye have held fast the unimpeded whiteness within these many-coloured moving creatures.
