ता गृ॑णीहि नम॒स्ये॑भिः शू॒षैः सु॒म्नेभि॒रिन्द्रा॒वरु॑णा चका॒ना । वज्रे॑णा॒न्यः शव॑सा॒ हन्ति॑ वृ॒त्रं सिष॑क्त्य॒न्यो वृ॒जने॑षु॒ विप्रः॑
tā gṛṇīhi namasyebhiḥ śūṣaiḥ sumnebhirindrāvaruṇā cakānā vajreṇānyaḥ śavasā hanti vṛtraṃ siṣaktyanyo vṛjaneṣu vipraḥ
Honor them with praises, with vows, O Indra-Varuna, who made ready the celebrated ones. With thunderbolts another strikes Vritra with the corpse-weapon; another hero rends the strongholds.
Praise Mitra and Varuṇa, renowned or all glorious energies and enjoyment; one of whom slays Vṛtra with the thunderbolt, the other, intelligent by his might, comes to the aid (of the pious when) in difficulties.
Praise those Twain Gods for powers that merit worship, Indra and Varuna, for bliss, the joyous. One with his might and thunderbolt slays Vrtra; the other as a Sage stands near in troubles.
