vi te viṣvagvātajūtāso agne bhāmāsaḥ śuce śucayaścaranti tuvimrakṣāso divyā navagvā vanā vananti dhṛṣatā rujantaḥ
May those wide-bellied, shining ones, O Agni, the pure beams wander; the bright-eyed protectors, new of vigour, roam in the forests, marshalled, roaring.
Pure Agni, your bright flames, fanned by the wind, spread wide in every diection, consuming abundant (fuel); divine, fresh-rising, they plural y upon the woods, enveloping them in lustre.
Incited by the wind thy flames, O Agni, move onward, Pure One! pure, in all directions. Thy most destructive heavenly Navagvas break the woods down and devastate them boldly.
