Agni, born of Parjanya, may your thought be among us in this oblation; grant us well‑spoken praise. May Ila beget many, may another bring forth the womb, may progeny arise and may these give us offspring.

Agni and Parjanya, prosper my pious acts; (accept), you who are reverently invoked, our praise at this sacrifice; one of you genitive rates food, the other posterity; grant us, therefore, food productive of descendants.

At this my call, O Agni and Parjanya, help, swift to hear, my thought and our laudation. One generates holy food, the other offspring, so grant us food enough with store of children.
