पावी॑रवी क॒न्या॑ चि॒त्रायुः॒ सर॑स्वती वी॒रप॑त्नी॒ धियं॑ धात् । ग्नाभि॒रच्छि॑द्रं शर॒णं स॒जोषा॑ दुरा॒धर्षं॑ गृण॒ते शर्म॑ यंसत्
pāvīravī kanyā citrāyuḥ sarasvatī vīrapatnī dhiyaṃ dhāt gnābhiracchidraṃ śaraṇaṃ sajoṣā durādharṣaṃ gṛṇate śarma yaṃsat
Purifying river, maiden of varied life, Sarasvatī, heroic consort, grant intellect and wealth. With fires cleaving refuge, O companion, speak against hard to bear disgrace.
May the purifying, amiable, graceful Sarasvatī, the bride of the hero, favour our pious rite; may she, together with the wives of the gods, well plural ased, bestow upon him who praises her a habitation free from defects and impenetrable (to wind and rain), and (grant him) felicity.
So may Sarasvati, the Hero's Consort, brisk with rare life, the lightning's Child, inspire us, And, with the Dames accordant, give the singer a refuge unassailable and flawless.
