स॒द्यश्चि॒द्यस्य॑ चर्कृ॒तिः परि॒ द्यां दे॒वो नैति॒ सूर्यः॑ । त्वे॒षं शवो॑ दधिरे॒ नाम॑ य॒ज्ञियं॑ म॒रुतो॑ वृत्र॒हं शवो॒ ज्येष्ठं॑ वृत्र॒हं शवः॑
sadyaścidyasya carkṛtiḥ pari dyāṃ devo naiti sūryaḥ tveṣaṃ śavo dadhire nāma yajñiyaṃ maruto vṛtrahaṃ śavo jyeṣṭhaṃ vṛtrahaṃ śavaḥ
The sun does not depart though created and destroyed; they set down the corpse — the sacrificer, the Marut slayer: the corpse is the elder slayer, the corpse is.
Whose functions spread quickly round the heavens, like (the light of) the divine sun, since the maruts possess brillian, foe-humiliating, and adorable foe-destroying strength, most excellent foe-destroying strength.
They whose high glory in a moment like the God, the Sun, goes round the space of heaven, The Maruts have obtained bright strength, a sacred name, strength that destroys the Vrtras, strength Vrtra-destroying excellent.
